Developing Computational Thinking through Mathematics: An Evaluative Scientific Mapping

چکیده
Computational thinking (CT) has been accepted and embraced by educators researchers alike, but many questions remain surrounding what concepts topics have used in CT, tools to help teach the current range of research on CT. In this paper, we address those state professional development (PD) train teachers preservice Using a scientometrics analysis map data from scientific literature based different kinds published research, found that most publications were education-related sources CT relation mathematics teaching was mostly about computing skills computer programming using practice algorithmic engineering STEM, at higher education level. Additionally, our results revealed Scratch dominant tool all school levels teacher education. Research PD illustrated main focus centred improving computational via rural urban areas teaching. Lastly, conclude high-impact outputs support notion as problem-solving process.

Introducing Computational Thinking to Young Learners: Practicing Computational Perspectives Through Embodiment in Mathematics Education
A science, technology, engineering, and mathematics-influenced classroom requires learning activities that provide hands-on experiences with technological tools to encourage problem-solving skills (Brophy et al. in J Eng Educ 97(3):369–387, 2008; Matarić et al. in AAAI spring symposium on robots and robot venues: resources for AI education, pp 99–102, 2007). The study aimed to bring computation...
متن کاملDeveloping teaching with an explicit focus on scientific thinking
This article describes an attempt to integrate teaching about an aspect of science ‘content’ with an aspect of the nature of science (NOS), through the development of a practical research-informed teaching module for use in key stage 3 (ages 11–14). The module concerned electrical circuits, and the NOS aspect focused on the role of models and analogies in scientific work. The module offers one ...
متن کاملDefining Computational Thinking for Mathematics and Science Classrooms
Science and mathematics are becoming computational endeavors. This fact is reflected in the recently released Next Generation Science Standards and the decision to include ‘‘computational thinking’’ as a core scientific practice. With this addition, and the increased presence of computation in mathematics and scientific contexts, a new urgency has come to the challenge of defining computational...
متن کاملDeveloping an English Language Textbook Evaluative Checklist
In the selection of a new textbook, it is important to conduct an evaluation to ensure that it is suitable. Evaluation is widely acknowledged as a powerful means of improving the quality of education. There are three methods of evaluation that can be used for evaluating English Language Teaching (ELT) textbooks. An evaluative checklist is one of these methods that can be used to help select the...

concepts. . . Inattention is a most efficacious logical faculty; presumably this accounts for the absentmindedness of professors. [5, pp. 84–85] The extent to which Husserl’s early philosophical work is susceptible to Frege’s criticisms, as well as the extent to which these criticisms has substantial influence on Husserl’s later work, is still subject to debate (see, for example, [18]). But Hus...
